"Micro-Apprenticeship" comes from the word, apprenticeship, or apprentice.
An apprentice is someone who partners and works with a professional to learn certain skills from them.
In a micro-apprenticeship, you will work with a coach, complete a project, learn valuable skills, explore future careers, and get paid!
Yep!
These Micro-Apprenticeships were designed to teach you about various careers, build your technical skills, AND help you learn to earn and save money. You will receive a stipend up to $250 depending on your work completion. The money will go to a custodial bank account (which we help you create!)
Yep!
As long as the dates and times do not conflict with each other.
Micro-apprenticeships are currently only offered to 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.
Space for learners is limited, so if you are interested, sign up now!
Small groups of 2-8 students will be paired with professionals from the industry that is most relevant to the project.
Fall micro-apprenticeships begin in October.
Each Micro-Apprenticeship will happen after school between the hours of 3:15 and 5pm.
They will last between 4-6 weeks depending on the project and how often students meet.
